Frequently asked questions

Everything people usually ask about our free TeraBox downloader — speed, supported links, privacy, account requirements, mobile use and format support. If your question isn't here, the contact page is a faster way to reach the team.

Is this TeraBox downloader really free?+

Yes. There is no paid tier, no download quota for normal use, and no hidden charges. Revenue from optional advertising keeps the tool free for everyone.

Do I need a TeraBox account to download?+

No. You only need a share link that opens in a browser. Our server resolves it for you — no login, no app install, no personal data shared with TeraBox.

Why is downloading faster than through the TeraBox website?+

We hand your browser a direct CDN URL. The file streams straight from TeraBox's storage to you without the app's interstitials, sign-up walls or transfer queues that throttle free users.

Which domains are supported?+

All major TeraBox mirrors including terabox.com, 1024terabox.com, 1024tera.com, teraboxapp.com, teraboxlink.com, terasharelink.com, terabox.club, 4funbox.com, freeterabox.com and 30+ more. If the link contains /s/ it will almost certainly work.

How long do generated links stay valid?+

Generated URLs are signed by TeraBox and typically expire within about 8 hours. Just generate a fresh one if yours expires — re-resolution is instant thanks to caching.

Can I download folders?+

Yes. Folder shares open as a browsable list with each file's name, size and (for videos) duration. Pick the files you want and save them one at a time, or open the whole folder to see everything inside.

Do you store the files or my links?+

Neither. Links are resolved on demand and never saved on our side. The recent-links list shown in the UI lives only in your own browser's local storage, not on any server.

Is it legal to use this tool?+

The tool itself is legal technology — like any downloader. What matters is what you download: only fetch content you have the right to access. TeraBox's own terms apply to the content they store.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?+

Both. On iPhone use Safari — downloads land in the Files app's Downloads folder. On Android, Chrome and any modern browser work. Long-press the Download button if your phone starts playing the video instead of saving it.

What video formats can I play in the browser?+

MP4, WebM, MKV, TS/M2TS, MOV and most common formats play natively. Some rare codec combinations inside MKV/AVI won't decode in browsers — for those, download the file and play it in VLC, MX Player or PotPlayer.

Will downloading use my TeraBox account storage?+

No. Downloading a shared file doesn't touch your account. The file is on whoever shared it; you're just retrieving it. Your own 1 TB storage is unaffected.

Is there a file size limit?+

No hard limit on our side. Multi-GB movies download fine. For very large files (4 GB+), use a desktop browser and keep the tab foregrounded — mobile OSes occasionally suspend long background transfers.
